Happy New Year

Though we can't know what the new year will bring,
our God sees all 365 days.
And He has a good purpose for everything
He allows in a believer's life.

Biltmore House in Asheville NC

Merry Christmas from the Biltmore House

My family went to the Biltmore House for a Christmas visit. This was the first time we had ever been there. I loved it so much, I had to share this with you. Hopefully, if you are in our Blue Ridge Parkway area, please stop by the American Castle. You will not be disappointed, I promise.

The story of the Biltmore
Biltmore is a testament to the uncompromising ideals of an exceptional man - George Washington Vanderbilt. What began as his vision of a country retreat became the largest private residence in America and stands to this day as a celebrated historic landmark. To visit Biltmore is to cross the threshold into a world of hospitality, beauty and luxury that has remained unchanged for more than a century and is being preserved for many generations yet to come.

Biltmore House
No residence in America offers a more authentic, original and inspiring view of life at the end of the 1800s than Biltmore House. Faithfully preserved and filled with thousands of original furnishings, its rooms suggest that the Vanderbilts, their friends and employees are still at home. From opulent living quarters enjoyed by family and friends to the "downstairs" domain of the domestic staff, the House presents a detailed portrait of life on a great 19th-century country estate.

Biltmore Gardens & Trails
From mountain forest to manicured flower bed to valley farm, the grounds at Biltmore were unparalleled in scale and diversity when conceived in the 1880s. They remain one of the premier achievements of American's foremost Landscape architect, Fredrick Law Olmstead. His genius for design and his love of nature are visible today throughout the 8.000-acre Estate, where his plan and many of the original plantings have been preserved.

Biltmore Winery
Opened in 1985, Biltmore Winery is a fitting addition to Mr. Vanderbilt's vision. The enterprise recalls the historic estate wineries of Europe and also reaffirms the century-old Biltmore tradition of self-sufficiency. Although one of the "youngest" wineries in America, it is the most visited and among the most acclaimed, having earned more than 700 awards since its inception.

Don't Forget What the True Meaning of Chirstmas Is!

The angels in heaven rejoiced at the announcement of Jesus' birth and the shepherds praised God. Have you thanked the Lord today for your salvation? Are you experiencing the divine joy that overflows from a Spirit-filled life?

Good News of Great Joy
Luke 2:8-14

Though Jesus is often portrayed as the Infant of Christmas, He is not simply another baby. He's the Son of the living God, who left the glory of heaven to show us what the Father is like - and to purchase our redemption with His precious blood.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL"
