Romans 8:38 - 39
NKJV

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,
nor angels nor principalities nor powers,
nor things present nor things to come,
nor height nor depth,
nor any other created thing,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Is this an old or new vase

Floral Vase

I took an old vase and wrapped yarn around it
So what is old becomes new again

If anyone is interested in purchasing one
please contact me with details

Floral Egg Creation

Floral Eggs

I seen some Hydrangea Eggs at Pottery Barn
They came in green or white
They were like $8 a piece
So I thought I would make my own
That way I would have the colors I would like
and not pay that outrageous price

I think they look just as good as Pottery Barns
and I had a good time making them

I will take orders if anyone wants to purchase an egg
I promise I won't charge $8

Daily Bible Scriptures

ASSURANCE

Ephesians 1:7
NKJV

In Him we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of His grace.

Grandma's Apron

I don't think kids know what an apron is.
The principal use of Grandma's apron was to protect the dress underneath, because she only had a few, it was easier to wash aprons than dresses and they used less material, but along with that, it served as a potholder for removing hot pans from the oven.
It was wonderful for drying children's tears, and on occasion was even used for cleaning out dirty ears.
From the chicken coop, the apron was used for carrying eggs, fussy chicks, and sometimes half-hatched eggs to be finished in the warming oven.
When company came, those aprons were ideal hiding places for shy kids.
And when the weather was cold grandma wrapped it around her arms.
Those big old aprons wiped many a perspiring brow, bent over the hot wood stove.
Chips and kindling wood were brought into the kitchen in that apron.
From the garden, it carried all sorts of vegetables.
After the peas had been shelled, it carried out the hulls.
In the fall, the apron was used to bring in apples that had fallen from the trees.
When unexpected company drove up the road, it was surprising how much furniture that old apron could dust in a matter of seconds.
When dinner was ready, Grandma walked out onto the porch, waved her apron, and the menfolks knew it was time to come in from the fields to dinner.

It will be a long time before someone invents something that will replace that 'old-time apron' that served so many purposes.

REMEMBER:
Grandma used to set her hot baked apple pies on the window sill to cool.
Her granddaughters set theirs on the window sill to thaw.

They would go crazy now trying to figure out how many germs were on that apron.
I don't think I ever caught anything from an apron.

Thanks to Marie for sending this to me - was to good not to share with all my friends!

Beautiful Women Month

Did you know that it's Beautiful Women Month? Well, it is and that means you!!! Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her 'beauty tips.'

It was read at her funeral years later.

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.

While I am not doing any crafts at this moment,
I thought I would leave you a scripture to ponder on.
