Daily Bible Scriptures

Psalm 27:7-10
TRUST IN THE LORD AND BE NOT AFRAID

Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.
Hide not they face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger; thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.

GO AWAY EARL

The Outer Banks in NC (OBX) is bracing for Hurricane Earl.  His name is Earl and NO ONE wants him. My prayers and thoughts are with the Locals that have been blessed to live in such a wonderful place.  I am constantly watching and listening to the weather channel.  If God wills, I will leave there one day at Ocracoke Island.  The entire OBX is under this warning.  Hurricane Earl, Fiona, and posslibe another one is brewing up and heading our way.  Please pray for ALL these people that maybe impacted.

He is what the people of Ocracoke has to look forward to.

A state of emergency has been declared for Hyde County effective 9 PM Tuesday, August 31. A mandatory evacuation has been issued for all visitors and residents of Ocracoke beginning at 5 AM on Wednesday, September 1.

The NC Ferry system will be on a first-come, first –serve basis for all vehicles open to Hatteras, Swan Quarter, and Cedar Island pending road conditions in those receiving counties. Schedules and toll collections are suspended during the evacuation order.

Emergency services, government agencies, commercial vendors delivering essential groceries and supplies, and permanent residential traffic as indicated by purple and green stickers will be allowed on the island via air and marine traffic. The State Highway Patrol may restrict access without appropriate credentials.

Before leaving, residents and guests in this area should take precautions such as moving cars and equipment to higher ground. Please pick up potential debris that could become unsecure during the storm.

People with medical needs and unique situations are urged to consider their options. Hyde County public safety services will cease after winds reach 50 mph sustained.

As seen in the past, hurricanes are unpredictable and can change with little notice. Residents and visitors need to remain vigilant and not let your guard down.

What Did She Have

I have always loved Marilyn Monroe
Why was she so sexy
What did she have that made her that way
KEEP IT OUT OF THE GUTTER FOLKS
She just seemed to had the look, talk, etc
What happened to that look
Things have just gotten out of hand with the celebreties now

What Is FAITH

F is for Forgiveness
A is for Available
I is for Impossible
T is for Turn
H is for Heaven

Forgiveness - everyone has sinned and needs God's forgiveness - His forgiveness is in Jesus only

Available - God's forgiveness is available for all - available but not automatic

Impossible - according to the Bible, it is impossible to get to heaven on our own

Turn - means to repent - turn to Jesus alone as your Savior and Lord

Heaven - is a place where we will live with God forever - eternal life begins now with Jesus

I am out of work - Now I should be able to post more

Well, I am out of work now.  So, I can get back into my posting.  I am unable to do any crafts right now due to some medical issues.  So I don't have any crafty things going on.  I have started pitting puzzles together.  I really enjoy doing that.

WOW - IT'S BEEN A LONG LONG TIME

I have been away for a long time from my blog. Sorry I have not been here in awhile. I started work in May and it has had me busy. I have not been working for 4 years and it just took everything out of me when I went back. Since I went to work I have had a pulled muscle in my hip, walking pneumonia and been in the hospital for a week. But besides all that, life has been great. I told my husband that going back to work was not suiting me.

I will try to stay updated in the future. Just bear with me. I have been busy with crafts and hopefully before to long, I will be able to put some pictures on the site. Have a wonderful day and remember to rejoice in this day, for the Lord has made it for you. Peace be with you.

Until later ---

THE LORD IS ALIVE

"Jesus didn't really rise from the dead," Mike told the members of the visitation team from a nearby church. "I've read those books that tell the real story. Jesus' later followers concocted the whole idea of the resurrection. Jesus married, had children and died like anyone else; so don't tell me what I ought to believe or how I ought to live. I'm not buying it."

Mike's biting response to his visitors mirrors too often the confused culture of our day. Many people dismiss the biblical witness about Jesus' resurrection as myth or superstition. Meanwhile they accept without question whatever the latest popular book, movie or TV documentary present. However, the Scriptures, people's changed lives and the continuing spread of the Christian faith steadily bear witness to the gospel truth:

JESUS CHRIST IS RISEN INDEED!

The Scriptures reveal sound reasons to worship Jesus as the living Lord.
Matthew 28:1-17
