Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is a beautiful site on any ordinary day

but highlight it with the touch of the Master's Hand and it is unbelievable

To get snow at the Outer Banks is a very rare thing

Any just look how much they got

God is always at work and always delighted when He makes us happy

Never forget that He is just a Pray away and never to busy for you

No waiting lines, no automated phone messages and no doubt that He is listening

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME

A few more items I have done the past couple of weeks

It has been so dreadfully cold outside that I did not want to go out.

Now you know that is cold.

Here is a few items I made during the past couple of weeks.

A warm earthy color scarf I knitted with a crochet border

Can't tell by the picture but this is a soft baby blue knit scarf

Nautical Flags- last name made in Plastic Canvas

I pray that all is safe and healthy during this winter season.  I know it has been cold and a lot of my friends are dealing with the blizzards up North.  Hang in there Spring is getting closer and closer, day by day.

Happy February

This month, our culture celebrates love, by way of Valentine's Day and all its trappings.  But a popular notion of romance - butterflies and cards and suragry things, or th euncontrollable falling into love as if from a cliff into th eriver - often oversahdows the deeper, sober affection two people who have loved each other long and well. 

WHEN WE WALKED TOGETHER

When we walked together

in the cool of the evening,

walked together, you and I,

in the cool of the evening,

after the heat of the day,

after the long hours under the sweating sun,

after the buzzing words like black flies

had at long last ceased their querulous stinging,

after the questions, after the answers

that refused at last to answer anything at all,

in the cool of the evening, when we walked

in the garden, you and I, in the cool of the evening.

When it was no longer important

for either of us to speak, since the words,

whatever words they might have been,

would have been beside the point,

would have said nothing our hearts

did not already know, where simply being there,

there in the cool of the evening

was all that finally mattered,

with the long night coming on, and the last trill

of birdsong fading off in the distance

by the ridge of the tree line,

when we walked together there in the garden,

in the cool of the evening, you and I.

Another week - Another Project

I have not done Plastic Canvas Tissue Box Covers for almost if not longer than 20 years ago.  This is the first one I made since then.  It took a little longer to work on but it is done.  I am so thankful I can still do some crafts anymore.  It just seems to go slower.  God may be teaching me patience.  He knows I need to have more of that.

The scarf is chunky and wider than usually scarves I have made.  This is for warmth and looks.  The others are usually for looks only.  It is super soft and very cuddly.

I pray all is feeling well and staying warm through this bitterly cold winter.  Just think Spring is on its way. 

HAPPY NEW YEARThe past year has been somewhat an interesting year for me.  The Lord has seen fit for me to having another year in 2011 and I pray that I will be able to share some of my good days and times with all of you.

Briefly I will explain why I have not been posting on my blog.  To begin with, I am sorry that I had to leave people hanging but I have had some health issues that prevented me to be able to use my hands and wrists much.  I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis last year and it has hit my hands and wrists.  So I was unable to do much of anything.  I had to quit work and stay home.  Well that of course brought me to a Pity Party for myself.  That is over and I thank God for bringing me out of that.  So that is where I am right now.

I have in the past few weeks gotten in my mind to start crafting again.  I can't do some of the things I would like to do, as of right now.  But Hopefully will be able to resume them one day.  Here are a few things that I have been making in the past couple of weeks:

Baby hat, light yellow & light green

Scarf

We have had snow and Very Cold weather here for a couple of weeks, so I thought I better try to keep my hands moving and keep them warm.  I hope that I will be able to post more projects as I make them.  Later I will post our Christmas Open House Party we had for some friends.  We only had about 20 some to come, did not know how well I would have handled all the crowd.  Pictures will come later.

Stay warm and healthy.  I will continue to post as much as possible.  If you read this, please let me know.  I don't want to be posting and no one out there reading.  Shoot, I could be crafting at this time.

Witness

John 5:30-36

I can of mine own self of nothing; as I hear.

I judge: and my judgement is just: because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.

There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.

Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.

But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved.

He was a burning and a shinning light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
